Just as the centre person (which represents God) has arms that are reaching out, so has God commanded us to give comfort and love to those around us. Those who delight in the Lord are like trees (Evergreen), who bear fruit all year round (Psalm 1:3)

Evergreen Heights Christian Fellowship
a Mennonite Brethren Church in Simcoe, Ontario, CANADA

Here at Evergreen we try to maintain a relaxed but worshipful atmosphere.
Very family friendly, we seek to strike a balance between being  ourselves before God,
and being respectful of others worshippers and God.

From about the beginning of September to roughly the end of June, an average Sunday At Evergreen begins with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m.. The Sunday School is staffed by volunteer teachers who have all been  screened for the safety of children. The adults can enjoy attending a class geared to them, or they can enjoy a cup of coffee in the foyer.

The service proper starts at 10:45 a.m. during the months when Sunday School runs. During the summer months, service starts at 10:30 a.m. It begins with a series of  contemporary worship songs, with a bref interruption for announcements, prayer, and the offering. Bringing an offering on Sundays is a responsibility of the Evergreen family, so visitors are not expected to make one. Of course should you wish to make an offering it will be happily accepted, and, if you provide us with your address, you can be receipted for tax purposes. Immediately after the offering, children 3-7 are invited to go to participate in a  Junior Church Program called King's Kids. Like the Sunday School, it is staffed by screened volunteers, and employs a sign-in-and-out procedure to ensure your child's safety.

Following the worship music, the message will be given. Typically lasting from 25 and 35 minutes, the messages are geared to helping us undertsand how God wants to be an active part of our everyday life, and what we can do to make our faith practical. Following the message, we usually have a final worship song before announcng the concluson of the service. It is our hope that, though the service is over, you won't stop worshipping God.

That's a typical Sunday. We hope that you will come and exerience it, and God for yourself.
